Physical
Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and Speech TherapyJobs in
Pepin, Wisconsin
The village of Pepin was settled in 1846, and
was initially known as a steamboat boomtown familiar to Mark
Twain and wealthy Chicago socialites. Lake Pepin was discovered
by Father Louis Hennepin in 1680, and was named for the Pepin
brothers who were two of the first trappers in the area. Waterways
in Pepin were created from the burrow pits, which were dug
up from land forming highways through the bottom lands from
rivers. Various animals including deer and waterfowl and birds
travel by the thousands through these waterways in the spring
and remain in the area through summer.
