Physical
Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and Speech TherapyJobs in
Oklahoma City, Oklahoma
Just a little over a century ago, the site
of Oklahoma City was a grass-and-timbered land of gently rolling
hills flattening out into prairie in the west. Today, Oklahoma
City sprawls across 625 square miles of America's heartland.
It's metro population numbers over a million - a third of
the entire state's population. Oklahoma and Oklahoma City
have a fascinating history that stretches back past the oil
boom, the Great Land Run of 1889, the great cattle drives,
the Civil War, the Five Civilized Tribes, and the Plains Indians,
back before Coronado crossed the land looking for his City
of Gold - back to when thundering herds of dinosaurs roamed
the windy prairies. Legendary attractions like the National
Cowboy and Western Heritage Museum and the Myriad Botanical
Gardens. World-class equine action at Remington Park racetrack.
Wild adventures at the Oklahoma City Zoo. The authentic sights,
sounds and flavor of the Old West in Stockyards City. And
historic Bricktown, our renovated entertainment and dining
district. Over 50 great attractions and activities, 12,000
hotel rooms, and a million friendly people who wouldn't live
anywhere else. Just a block east of the Cox Business Services
Convention Center in downtown Oklahoma City is Bricktown,
OKC's newest entertainment and dining district. With lots
of restaurants with a total capacity of over 4,000 seats,
shopping, and a generous helping of turn-of-the-century charm,
Bricktown has become a hotspot for Oklahoma City nights (lunches,
too). Bricktown is an integral part of the Metropolitan Area
Projects. The Southwestern Bell Bricktown Ballpark opened
in 1997 to rave reviews. The Oklahoma Spirit trolley system
is now in place, ready to take you around Bricktown and Downtown
OKC for just a quarter. In warm weather, the Pedicabs can
be seen ferrying customers all over Bricktown, as well as
several horse-drawn carriages. We have created a mile-long
pedestrian canal through Bricktown, turning south at the Ballpark,
under the highway to a waterfall-and-forested park area. The
arts and entertainment talent in Oklahoma City comes from
a vast pool of local performers as well as world renowned
artists. From the sophistication of Ballet Oklahoma, the OKC
Philharmonic or the Oklahoma Opera & Music Theater to
the country western flavor of the Oklahoma Opry and local
theatre groups, a visitor need never leave Oklahoma City without
enjoying a satisfying evening of entertainment. There are
several malls to shop at like Crossroads Mall and Heritage
Park Mall. The best barbecue recipes in the south, world-famous
Tex-Mex creations and the "best Chicken Fried Steak in
the universe" is only the beginning of the great food
to be found in Oklahoma City. The city’s restaurants
offer mouthwatering fare that satisfies a variety of palates
and fits any price range. The Northwest Expressway corridor,
the Meridian "strip," Western Avenue’s "restaurant
row" and many other locations offer such a variety of
dining experiences...no one will leave Oklahoma City hungry.
After dinner, put on your dancing shoes or pull on your boots
and enjoy live entertainment, country and western music, jazz
and blues or good ol’ rock and roll, or sit back and
laugh at one of Oklahoma City’s popular comedy clubs.
