Physical
Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and Speech TherapyJobs in
Nashua, New Hampshire
Nashua was voted “Best Place to Live”
in 1997 by Money magazine. The Gateway City, as it is nicknamed,
started as a fur trading post in 1600 and was known as Watanic
by the Native Americans. Since it’s renaming as Nashua,
which means “the land between two rivers”, it
has become the second largest city in New Hampshire. Nashua
City Hall features a bronze statue of John F. Kennedy on the
very spot where he gave his first official campaign speech
in 1960. Be sure not to miss the other landmarks, museums
and historical sites, which are too numerous to list here!
For a little culture, try the Symphony Orchestra, one of the
two ballet companies, or the art gallery. If you are feeling
more nostalgic, then take in a game with the Nashua Pride,
New Hampshire’s only professional minor league baseball
team. They play an extended series at historic Holman Stadium,
the site of the first integrated baseball team in the United
States. For those needing something more contemporary then
how about live music and karaoke at the 88 Buffet and Lounge?
If country music is more to your liking then head out to Border
City Squares for square and round dancing. This is one fun
place to live no matter what you enjoy doing!
