Physical
Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and Speech TherapyJobs in
Madison, Wisconsin
Welcome to Madison, Wisconsin,
the capital and the largest city in the state. This is one
of the best destinations for fall with many community festivals.
From chili to cows, harvest to holidays, and art festivals
galore, there is always something new to celebrate here. Wisconsin
is known for cows, and Madison hosts the World Dairy Expo,
an international trade show for dairy producers. The Corn
Maze at the Treinen Farm is a 3-mile maze made of corn in
the shape of a fire-breathing dragon. Afterward, take a horse
drawn wagon ride through the countryside, or watch the geese
on the pond while the kids visit the farm animals. There are
farmer’s markets, convention center youth performances,
book festivals, wine and antique shows, and many sporting
events in this lovely city.
The sprawling University of Wisconsin sets the
tone for this college town of cafes, bookstores, brewpubs,
and numerous restaurants. The beautiful glacial lakes make
this the “City of Four Lakes”, and is one of the
more picturesque state capitals in the country. If you visit
the campus, be sure to try the famous Babcock Ice Cream at
Memorial Union, before you see the Elvehjem Museum of Art’s
collection of Greek, Roman, and Egyptian antiquities. And
to really get into the college spirit, head over to State
Street’s eclectic range of ethnic restaurants. At the
end of State Street is a white granite, roman Renaissance-style
observation platform for views of the city and lakes. The
university has an arboretum that is 1260 acres of forest land,
with cross-country ski trails, a paved 10-K loop for runners,
and an educational visitors center.
