Physical
Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and Speech TherapyJobs in
Londonderry, Vermont
The Londonderry Area is very much a destination,
home base, or "must visit" for those exploring Southern
Vermont, or who are here in winter to ski Magic Mountain,
Okemo, Bromley, or Stratton Mountains. Located in Southern
Vermont, along the beautiful Route 100 corridor, the area
is a comfortable 3 1/2 hour drive from Boston, 4 1/2 hours
from New York City, 2 hours from Albany, 2 1/2 hours from
Burlington, and 4 hours from Eastern Canada. Londonderry is
the metropolis of the two in that it has a small shopping
center containing a well-stocked, full-size supermarket and
a variety of other businesses. The town also has an auto repair
shop, a clothing and shoe barn, several restaurants, lodging
establishments, and the like. Although a small town by anyone's
standards, Londonderry is a busy place in the winter due to
its proximity to the ski areas. Magic Mountain, perhaps Vermont's
best kept secret, is literally 5 minutes down the road. Magic
will bring back memories to those who remember parking within
a few steps of a base lodge and short lift lines! This is
a great ski area for families, as well as challenging to experts.
South Londonderry? You could easily pass through it and not
know it. The few visitor-type businesses it contains are spread
apart. There are several noteworthy restaurants here, and
a popular inn. South Londonderry is more identified with the
Stratton-Bondville area than with Londonderry, especially
in winter.
