a visit to Shaker Village of Pleasant Hill. Located on 2800
acres, there are 33 nineteenth century buildings to explore
along with hand-made crafts and authentic Shaker furniture.
Come back to the future with a tram tour of Toyota Manufacturing,
home of the largest production plant in North America. For
real adventure, take a drive through the gorgeous fall foliage
to one of the local distilleries, the most notable being Wild
Turkey. For those a little more laid back, there are many
antiques stores to explore and a nice stay in one of their
Bed and Breakfasts can be just what the doctor ordered.
The second oldest tourist attraction in the United States,
Mammoth Cave, is located here as is the only city in the United
States built within a meteor crate, Middlesboro. But, is the
grass there really blue? Kentucky’s nickname- The Bluegrass
State- is due to the bluish-purple buds that are produced
each spring on the grass which cast a blue shadow over a lawn
or field. You need to see it for yourself to believe, so come
