Physical
Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and Speech Therapy Jobs in
Kentucky
The fifteenth state in the Union, Kentucky is one of only
four states to call itself a Commonwealth. Offering Bourbon,
Bluegrass music, crafts, horses, history and racing, Kentucky
is within a days drive of half the U.S. population and is
bordered by seven states. With over 91,000 farms, central
Kentucky has the world’s greatest concentration of Thoroughbred
breeding farms. Horses aren’t the only famous babies-
notable Kentuckians include actors Ned Beatty, George Clooney
and Johnny Depp and musicians Billy Ray Cyrus, Wyonna Judd
and John Michael Montgomery. It is also the birthplace of
both the Civil War’s Union president, Abraham Lincoln,
and the Confederate president, Jefferson Davis. Ironically,
they were both born within a year of each other in log cabins,
less than 100 miles apart!
The second oldest tourist attraction in the United States,
Mammoth Cave, is located here as is the only city in the United
States built within a meteor crate, Middlesboro. But, is the
grass there really blue? Kentucky’s nickname- The Bluegrass
State- is due to the bluish-purple buds that are produced
each spring on the grass which cast a blue shadow over a lawn
or field. You need to see it for yourself to believe, so come
visit Kentucky!
