in Henderson in 1887 by school teacher Mary S. Wilson. It
became a national holiday in 1916. John James Audubon lived
here from 1810-1819 and a state park and museum in his honor
feature many of his original oil and watercolor artworks.

types. In the evening, visit one of the area’s six barbeque
restaurants and take in a classic car show. Finish the weekend
