Physical
Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and Speech Therapy Jobs in
Frankfort, Kentucky
Just 50 miles east of Louisville, the Capital
of Kentucky was established in 1792. Known as one the most
beautiful capital buildings in the country, it is also the
only Union Capital occupied by Confederate troops during the
Civil War. Be sure to visit the Executive Mansion, the official
governor’s mansion, located next door to the capital
and overlooking the Kentucky River. Equally beautiful, and
historic, is Liberty Hall. Created in 1796, this was the home
of Kentucky’s first Senator, John Brown. Not nearly
as historic, but just as impressive is the Ziegler House,
created by famed architect Frank Lloyd Wright. This home is
the only one of his designs in Kentucky and was created for
the Reverand Jesse Ziegler in 1910.
The oldest distillery site in the United States, Buffalo Trace,
is located here, as is the gravesite of Daniel Boone, the
famous explorer. If exploration is your thing, then you are
in luck. The Kentucky River has plenty of canoeing, kayaking,
tubing, fishing, swimming, camping, hiking and caving for
you to do. As a sweet end to your visit here, stop by Rebecca-Ruth
Candy, founded in 1919 and still in production, bourbon candy
originated here.
