The 500 acre university is the state’s
oldest post-secondary school and has many activities to keep
the town engaged. The park-like campus offers theatre productions,
concerts, art exhibits, movies, and college sports. In addition,
there are restaurants, boutiques and other shops lining the
campus. Bike lanes are included on most streets, along with
paths along the Wilamette and Mary’s rivers.
Close by Corvallis is the Finley National
Wildlife Refuge, a bird sanctuary that a wide variety of birds.
Hikers can enjoy the Woodpecker Loop, a one mile hike through
a wide array of ecosystems.
