since 1921, is a unique factory outlet store selling woolen
garments, yarn and comforters at discount prices. Emily’s
Country Cottage has gifts and collectibles including afghans,
rugs, wall hangings, curtains, pillows, dolls and more. Be
sure to visit the Baby Corner and the Christmas Room. Lady
Slipper Designs is a one-of-a-kind outlet store showcasing
the handicrafts of over 100 local crafts people. You'll save
on nationally-distributed products to such stores as Bloomingdale's
and Saks Fifth Avenue. Homestead Designs carries a number
of unique items, from gourd bird houses to rose hip sachets.
Morell’s Chippewa Trading Post in downtown Bemidji,
offers distinctive Indian handicrafts and souvenirs, as does
Che-Wa-Ka-E-Gon, located in Cass Lake and the Red Lake Trading
Post and Thunderbird Craft Store on the Red Lake Indian Reservation.
McKenzie's Place and the Lumberjack Shack near the Tourist
Information Center provide souvenirs and many other gift and
Minnesota items. The Old Schoolhouse is a renovated 1917 school
building packed with unique consignment shops including the
Christmas Room and Art Studio, containing the work of over
500 artists. A number of antique stores are located in the
Bemidji area.
